**Purpose of Role**

The Inventory Control Coordinator of Norwell Dairy Systems (Norwell) plays a crucial role in the oversight and management of the Company’s inventory and multiple warehouse units, contributing to the profitability of Norwell and elevating peer and customer experiences. The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels, improving inventory movement processes and practices, and validation of inventory amounts and locations.

The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Inventory control and management
- Stock audits and reconciliation
- Inventory analysis and reporting
- Warehouse management
- Cost control related to inventory carrying
- Collaboration and coordination of activities
- Technology utilization and inventory system(s)
- Process management and continuous improvement

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Inventory Control and Management:

- Tracking, reconciling, documenting and reporting of all inventory items in multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, investigating variances and anomalies, and present appropriate recommendations and solutions.
- Ensure stock levels are adequate to meet demand without overstocking, utilizing reorder points. Validate Min/Max levels and enforce use.
- Implement inventory processes, including: receiving, transfers, service support, and sales.
- Develop inventory tracking procedures to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Determine appropriate inventory levels.
- Stock Audits and Reconciliation
- Coordinate timely cycle and annual inventory counts to ensure accuracy of records.
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies.
- Inventory Analysis and Reporting
- Report on inventory activities and variances to all business levels, including senior management, on a prescribed frequency.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Use data to forecast future inventory needs through sales analytics (trends, conditions, future orders) and plan accordingly.
- Develop relevant KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) for inventory management.
- Warehouse Management
- Oversee the storage and organization of inventory in multiple warehouse locations.
- Ensure all inventory items are stored in a manner which maintains quality, accessibility and transacting.
- Implement safety and cleanliness standards in the warehouse.
- Promote compliance of Norwell’s Health and Safety protocols at all sites.
- Cost Control
- Measure and track the carrying costs of inventory, understand the financial implications of carrying cumbersome levels, and proactively work to minimize expenses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through efficient inventory management practices.
- Collaboration and Coordination
- Build peer-to-peer relationships, working closely to ensure their inventory needs are met.
- Collaborate and provide direction to streamline inventory movements and storage processes.
- Collaborate with peers within the organization for all inventory related interests, including issues, processes and initiatives
- Effectively and efficiently communicate inventory levels and potential issues with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the purchasing and logistics teams to support optimization within the supply chain.
- Support inventory-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives ensuring cross functional collaboration with multiple business units.
- Technology Utilization and Systems Management
- Implement and manage inventory management software and tools.
- Stay updated on new technologies and methods for inventory management.
- Serve as a “super user” of Business Central (BC) with respect to the “inventory” module, training staff on the use of inventory systems and best practices.
- Process Management and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate and support the development and implementation of inventory best practices within the inventory management system (BC).
- Continuously seek ways to improve inventory management processes - analyze, evaluate and execute.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Support the delivery of Norwell reputation and brand initiatives.
- Participate in and support training initiatives, as prescribed by Norwell from time to time.
- Key contributor to Norwell operational and process excellence efforts.
