Clifton is currently searching for an experienced Corporate Controller to join our Regina location. You will report directly to the President as a valued member of our Finance Team. You will be responsible for directing the organization’s accounting activities, including general and job cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, records maintenance, and interpretation of financial operating results. **Key Responsibilities**
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all areas of the accounting function for all entities within the Clifton Group of Companies.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and KPI reports.
- Lead the development and implementation of accounting processes, policies, and procedures and ensure those policies are adhered to.
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement to the Executive Team.
- Manage the budgeting process, including the review and analysis of actual performance against budget.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts, including cash flow and capital expenditure budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare GST, PST tax filings and lead year-end requirements with auditors. Lead the tax planning for the organization.
- Lead the accounting and payroll teams, acting as a mentor and providing guidance to junior staff.
- Ensure all accounts receivable are collected according to contract terms; Utilize lien and collection facilities when required.
- Review and oversee insurance and WCB compliance and requirements, including settlement of insurance claims.
- Review and oversee major vendor contracts to ensure that vendors are paid within terms.
- Travel (up to 10%) may be required.
- Other related duties, as required.

**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A graduate degree in Accounting/Finance an asset.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA) required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years industry experience in an accounting or finance role; Experience with multi-departmental and consolidated statements is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable tax laws and regulations, including prompt payment legislation.
- Advanced competency in financial management.; Past experience with job/project costing an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, in the context of work-life balance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products; Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel required.
- Experience with project and accounting software such as Sage and Deltek Vision an asset.
- Continued attention to safety and safe work environments, with a strong workplace safety focus.
