**Position Overview**

As an **Associate**, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' accounting, tax, and advisory needs while contributing to our growing Virtual/Fractional CFO and Controller services. With a CPA designation, you will take on leadership in client engagements, provide strategic financial insights, and support the delivery of high-quality, customized solutions to our clients.

This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with at least **4+ years of experience** in public accounting or a similar role. It offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement in a dynamic and innovative firm.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Accounting & Tax Services**:

- Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances.
- Prepare personal, corporate, and GST/PST tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting practices.

**Virtual/Fractional CFO Support**:

- Develop and present KPI dashboards, financial forecasts, and strategic insights to clients.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and process improvements.
- Oversee performance reporting and provide high-level financial insights for clients' leadership teams.
- Act as a key contributor in ERP implementation projects, including process mapping and financial system optimization.

**Client Communication & Advisory**:

- Communicate effectively with clients to provide guidance on complex financial matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, showcasing professionalism, care, and a commitment to excellence.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, delivering value-added insights and advisory services.

**Qualifications & Skills**

**Education & Certification**:

- **CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation is required.**

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Power BI is an asset.

**Soft Skills**:

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset to contribute to a supportive team environment.

**Experience**:

- **4+ years of experience** in public accounting or a similar environment.
- Proven experience in Virtual CFO or Controller services is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $82,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
