NutraSun Foods is a grain milling facility specializing in producing organic and conventional flour and bakery mixes for major food companies. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for management of day-to-day grain procurement, flour milling, receiving, shipping, maintenance, logistics, safety and personnel, as they pertain to mill production.

**Responsibilities**:
Ensure that the regular maintenance program for the plant and equipment is properly executed and adjustments to the program are made as necessary.
Recording, monitoring and analyzing plant maintenance with the maintenance department.
Coordination and supervision of the daily work plan for grain receiving / cleaning, milling, mixing, packaging and shipping.
Balancing demand with production capacity to ensure the mill can deliver on time and on budget.
Orientation and initial training of new production staff.
Overseeing the safety of workers, including Safety and WHMIS training.
Managing the Miller Apprentice Program; including the development of the program, coordination and effective execution. Develops and train Lead Millers, Millers and Apprentices.
Assuring and maintaining compliance to all governmental regulations, customer specifications including ISO, HACCP, GMP, QAI, AIB, and Kosher certifications.
Supports the execution of the strategic plan.
Evaluates alternatives to improve operational efficiencies and product quality.
Ensures weekly timesheets are completed. Monitors overtime and advises Human Resources of any personnel related issues.
Work and holiday scheduling and coordination of all production staff in accordance with plant production plan.
Other duties as requested.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma;
In-depth knowledge of milling, milling equipment and processes;
Base knowledge of finance and accounting;
Strong mechanical aptitude and previous maintenance experience considered an asset;
Strong communication and organizational skills;
Pneumatic trailer experience considered an asset;
Ability to lift 20Kg (50lb) throughout the work schedule.
