This is a unique opportunity to build the transplant franchise from the ground level. The Transplant Care Partner (TCP) is the liaison between Takeda and transplant centers within their designated territory and will act as the Ambassador for Takeda brand, vision, and values.
The TCP is responsible for maximizing utilization and patient outcomes of Takeda’s transplant products and the services associated with the products to members of the transplant team within the center, relevant health care professionals (HCPs) outside the transplant centre and other key stakeholders involved in the patient care decision-making process.
The TCP is responsible for developing and executing business plans aligned with corporate objectives and supporting transplant products within their assigned territories in alignment with those objectives.
The TCP is responsible for uncovering opportunities for Value Based Partnerships with assigned transplant centers to ensure a triple win for patients, transplant centers and Takeda.
**Key Objectives and Responsibilities**:
- Deliver agreed strategy and all necessary tactics within assigned key accounts to drive Takeda performance, including and not limited to delivering product and therapeutic knowledge, detailing to prescribers and key stakeholders.
- Achieves sales goals and objectives by achieving Business Objectives as well as other key metrics in the assigned Territory.
- Provide in-service training on disease state and Takeda transplant therapies to all key stakeholders.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant therapies and competitive products (data, studies, outcomes, and current promotional messaging).
- Develop relationships with Executive Level, Operations, Financial, and Pharmacy based personnel within each of the transplant centers in their territory.
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical account plans, such as uncovering needs, stakeholder / influence mapping, identifying / prioritizing business goals, helping define value propositions, delivering value propositions developed in collaboration with Head Office and field cross-functional teams, developing tactical plans, etc.
- Identify opportunities for and launch Value Based Partnerships with high volume transplant centers
- Gain access for transplant products in accounts, in terms of protocol access (inclusion of transplant products in clinical/prescriber protocols and clinical pathways), as well as formulary access, if applicable
**Experience, Education & Skills**:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Science or Business from a recognized university
- 5+ years sales experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, specialty or healthcare industry within transplant, oncology and/or rare disease
- Experience with multi-disciplinary stakeholder environment
- Strong collaboration and success working within teams
- Experience with managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Advanced business or scientific degree (MBA, MSc, PharmD, etc.)
- Pharmaceutical product launch experience
- Experience in calling on specialists involved in transplant: Hematologist Oncologist, Infectious Disease, Transplant Organ Specialists
- Experience in other functions outside of sales, such as marketing, market access or medical
- Demonstrate a track record of building partnerships with customers that balance corporate goals with ensuring positive outcomes for patients
- Demonstrated growth mindset including courage to implement innovative approaches and the agility to adapt to drive success
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively work with a broad group of cross-functional partners to align on and execute territory and customer plans
- Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills to identify unique partnership opportunities and adaptability to changing market conditions
- Strong aptitude for science
