Here is what you will be doing:
- Supports day-to-day activities of multiple, large complex kidney transplant initiatives/programs, including transplant allocation policies, donor exclusion criteria and patient wait listing criteria.- Collaborates with manager in development of operational/program strategy.- Provides leadership in the use of evidence to provide guidance on important areas of the kidney transplant system.- Plays a leadership role in terms of content, process, and methods in the development and implementation of projects and initiatives and related activities with internal and external stakeholders.- Monitors operational/program performance.- Utilizes internal data system to support operation activities and serves as an expert resource to help implement data system changes which impact kidney transplant stakeholders.

Analysis:
- Liaises and works with clinical experts and other stakeholders to define key priority areas related to kidney transplant.- Conducts quantitative and/or qualitative analyses on different sources of information related to kidney transplantation and serves as an expert resource on evidence synthesis.- Develops and disseminates data reports to support kidney transplant program activities.- Works with experts and available information to identify and assess challenges to the kidney transplant system and develops strategies to support implementation of solutions.

Coordination/Collaboration/Relationship Management:
- Builds relationships with the transplant community to remain current on best practices, issues, and trends.- Collaborates with experts, including clinicians, service providers, patients, and caregivers, to assist with developing, disseminating and implementing kidney transplant projects and strategies.- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support operational activities around organ allocation, including development and updating of allocation policies and criteria documents.- Leads planning for working group meetings, including preparation of meeting presentations and supporting materials.- Develops resources that are suitable for a variety of audiences (e.g. clinicians, service providers, public and patients).

Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience:
- A master’s degree in health policy, health sciences, health administration, or a related field of study.- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.- Experience conducting end-to-end planning and execution of program/operational activities within the specific focus area of expertise.

Knowledge and Skills:
- A strong understanding of Ontario’s health care system, including gaps between actual and ideal care, reasons for these gaps, and potential mechanisms available to address them- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated experience engaging and building relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders- Proven ability to establish positive working relationships; and must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with a broad network of teams, individuals, and stakeholders- A novel thinker who enjoys generating and exploring innovative ideas and solutions- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy- Demonstrated initiative and independence to take appropriate action and anticipate organizational needs- Ability to seek and weigh opinions and evidence, compromising where necessary on ways and means but not on principles or goals- Ability to deal effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience- Capacity to work effectively in a rapid-pace work environment- Ability to complete tasks, as assigned, in a timely manner with high-quality results
