Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager, UK and Ireland Location: Kingston Travel: < 10% travel JOB PURPOSE The UK and Ireland Tax Manager will support the Tax Senior Managers and Tax Director on all activities related to corporation tax matters for Unilever’s UK and Irish companies including Unilever Plc. The role is a tax business partner role which involves building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders around the business. Tax processes are performed across the tax teams, Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bangalore, India and outsourced service providers (Big 4). Much of the non-judgemental tax data analysis work is undertaken by the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bangalore, India with the UK tax team retaining compliance responsibilities where tax sensitive judgements are required, in a review capacity or where direct interaction with HMRC is required. The role requires the ability to manage and deliver multiple workstreams across varying timelines. Some of these workstreams include quarterly tax accounting and reporting using Longview software, working with the COE in Bangalore, India; overseeing tax compliance undertaken by outsourced service providers; preparing or reviewing tax technical pieces of work outside the scope of the outsourced service provider; Tax forecasting and QIP calculation; Supporting the tax senior manager with annual Senior Accounting Officer training and reviews; and compliance and liaison with HMRC on day-to-day matters, particularly in respect of residency certificates and double tax treaty withholding tax clearances.
