Little Whispers Respite Services provides personalized, high-quality respite care to children and families in need of compassionate, consistent support. We specialize in caring for children with complex needs, helping families thrive through community-based programming and dedicated support.
**Position Overview**
We are looking for a versatile and compassionate professional with a strong background in **administration, marketing and advertising, and human resources** within **Child and Family Services**. This hybrid role combines **strategic administrative and promotional work (50%)** with **direct frontline respite care (50%)**, including child supervision and transportation.
**Key Responsibilities Administrative, HR & Marketing (50%)**
- Coordinate staff schedules, maintain client records, and manage administrative systems.
- Assist with HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding,Trainings and supporting respite team members.
- Maintain compliance with agency and child welfare policies, including confidentiality and safety protocols.
- Develop and manage marketing strategies, including social media, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
- Represent Little Whispers at outreach events, information sessions, and community fairs.
- Create and manage content for digital platforms and collaborate on advertising materials.
- Foster strong relationships with referral agencies and community partners.
**Frontline Respite & Transportation Support (50%)**
- Provide direct care and supervision to children in community, home, or program settings.
- Support emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in line with individualized care plans.
- Ensure safe and timely transportation of children to and from appointments, activities, and family visits.
- Model positive social behavior, maintain a safe environment, and communicate effectively with families and caregivers.
- Complete daily logs, incident reports, and follow established protocols for care and safety.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma/Certificate in Child and Youth Work, Social Services, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in administration and HR, with experience in child and family services would be beneficial.
- Strong marketing, advertising, or digital communications experience.
- Prior experience working with children and youth with complex needs.
- Valid 5 driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving abstract.
- Current First Aid/CPR and Vulnerable Sector Screening (required).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
**Working Conditions**
- Combination of office, remote, and community-based work.
- Flexible scheduling including after hours and weekends based on client needs.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.25-$23.74 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
