**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Supervise the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices according to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with the **Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways** (TCMWR) and other relevant provincial regulations.
- Lead, train, and supervise traffic control personnel, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Monitor crew performance and enforce adherence to safety standards and work schedules.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth traffic flow and mínimal disruption.
- Implement and adjust traffic control measures to maintain safety and minimize congestion.
- Oversee traffic management in construction zones, including directing traffic and using detours or variable message signs (VMS).
- Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, including reports, timesheets, and incident documentation.
- Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and transport of traffic control equipment and materials.
- Respond to emergencies or incidents, ensuring quick restoration of safety and traffic flow.
- Communicate with the public and address concerns regarding traffic control and work zone operations.
**Qualifications**
- Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification (required).
- Experience in traffic control, roadwork supervision, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of traffic control regulations in British Columbia, including the **WorkSafeBC** and **BC Ministry of Transportation** guidelines.
- Ability to lead a team and make critical decisions quickly and safely.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
