Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Lead Associate to support day-to-day warehouse operations at our Scarborough facility. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead Associate will be responsible for coordinating work assignments, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and helping to maintain efficient warehouse processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, hands-on working knowledge of warehouse operations, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor in managing daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Coordinate and complete inbound container deliveries and unloading, conduct inspection of received goods, and palletize and move goods as per established procedures.
- Assign tasks and direct a team of warehouse associates or temporary workers to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure timely order processing (pick and pack) and on-time delivery while meeting quality standards.
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliation and physical inspections as needed.
- Process returns, inspect the returned goods, and document all the information as per established procedures.
- Maintain proper use of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners) and coordinate routine maintenance.
- Monitor workflow and assist in resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory handling.
- Assist in cycle counts, stock rotation, and inventory reconciliation.
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners) safely and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Supervisor regarding performance, staffing, and operational updates.
- Serve as the first point of contact for associates regarding daily tasks and escalations.
- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams to meet customer and business requirements.
- Follow company policies and procedures to always be compliant as per required laws and regulations.
- Follow through on all ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in business or supply chain (an asset).
- 1 - 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience in a fast-paced experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and safety procedures.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (preferred).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.

Physical Working Conditions
- Based in the warehouse environment with frequent lifting (up to 80 lbs.), carrying, bending, sitting, stretching, and standing for long periods of time.
- Requires flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or shifts as needed during peak periods.
