**Position Summary**:
The Supervisor of the Native Youth Resource Centre (NYRC) is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and integration of NYRC and its outreach services. Reporting to the Manager of Youth Services, this role provides leadership in community development, stakeholder engagement, and culturally grounded service delivery.
As the **site supervisor**, this position oversees the NYRC facility, ensuring it operates as a safe, welcoming, and culturally affirming space for Indigenous youth. The Supervisor supports a **multi-disciplinary team** working both on-site, off-site and in mobile programs, fostering collaboration across roles and disciplines to ensure holistic, integrated service delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Staff Supervision**:Provide direct supervision to youth program staff, including recruitment, onboarding, setting work priorities, assigning duties, training, performance management, and conducting annual reviews.
- ** Program Coordination**:Oversee the daily operations of the NYRC drop-in program and facility, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and culturally affirming environment.
- ** Site Supervision & Facility Oversight**:Act as the primary site supervisor for the NYRC, responsible for the overall management of the physical space, including safety protocols, building maintenance coordination, and ensuring the site supports effective service delivery and cultural practices.
- ** Multi-Disciplinary Team Leadership**:Support and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team -including youth workers, outreach staff, cultural facilitators, and other service providers -ensuring collaboration and integration across roles to meet the diverse needs of Indigenous youth.
- ** Team Development**:Foster a strong team culture through relationship-building, circle processes, and clear, consistent communication.
- ** Outreach Expansion**:Lead the continued development of outreach programming for homeless and precariously housed youth, including those in encampments. Ensure programming is grounded in Indigenous culture and worldviews and aligns with internal standards and funder guidelines.
- ** Cultural Integrity**:Ensure staff and programs reflect and support the distinct cultural needs of Indigenous youth, including participation in ceremony, land-based practices, and relationships with Elders and Traditional Knowledge Carriers.
- ** Internal Collaboration**:Work in partnership with other departments, programs, and NCFST leadership to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery.
- ** Crisis Support**:Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention as needed, ensuring staff and youth safety and well-being.
- ** External Partnerships**: Collaborate with external stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of youth programs.
- ** Documentation & Reporting**:Maintain accurate and timely records and prepare written reports as required.
- ** Program Evaluation**:Support data collection and analysis to assess program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
- ** Budget Oversight**:Manage program budgets and expenditures in alignment with organizational policies and funding requirements.
- ** Other Duties**:Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the NYRC and youth programming.
