**Skilled Labourer/ Swamper**
**Location: Regina, Saskatchewan**
**Type: Full Time, Hourly**

Since 1986 Double Star Drilling's expertise includes a range of services such as project & constructability consultation, large & small foundation piling, shoring & excavation, tieback anchors, static & dynamic pile load testing, ground improvement and void grouting. Dedicated to delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions, we excel in tackling projects of any size and complexity.
**The Role**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ability to perform strenuous outdoor work in exposed weather conditions
- Assist drillers in various tasks
- Putting up barricades
- Pouring and mixing concrete
- Grout work
- Measuring depths
- Physical and manual labour, repetitive lifting of 50lbs over the course of the shift
- Operate a tandem axel truck mounted drill rig
- Hauling 40-foot gooseneck trailer, 22-foot pintle hitch
- Strapping down heavy equipment and other equipment
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with DSD safe work practices, policies and procedures. Ensure PPE is worn at all times
- Participation in all safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Capable of working under numerous and varied job site situations
- Ability to identify hazards
- Must report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
- Ability to operate a laser for appropriate elevations; shoot elevations (concrete)
- Any previous equipment experience is an asset (skid-steer, packer, loader, etc.)
- Must have worked around various pieces of heavy equipment
- Assist with other duties as required
**Required Qualifications**:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience working as a laborer in civil construction
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with Q airbrakes or Class 5 with G endorsement (clean abstract) would be an asset
- Own transportation
- Valid CSTS-2020
- Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
- First Aid
- Experience hauling trailers (40-foot gooseneck, 22-foot pintle hitch)
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to participate positively in an engaging culture
- Must be able to organize and plan tasks, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be dependable
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
**Benefits**:
- Eligible to join are Incentive program, an extra $ 2.00 per hour after thirty days. Those who agree to random D & A testing.
- You will be able to enroll in our RRSP/ TFSA matching program upon completion of a 3-month probationary period.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
