Field Service Representative

Winpak Division is seeking a **Field Service Representative** to join the Technical Services team based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In this role you will also be responsible for investigating customer complaints regarding packaging material performance and developing the necessary action plans to resolve the issues in question. We are seeking an individual that will have the necessary mechanical skills to provide engineered solutions to enhance packaging material performance or customer processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate packaging material performance using benchmarking techniques.
- Develop action plans to communicate material, equipment or processing opportunities to customers and/or Winpak personnel.
- Provide written trip reports on all material trials and customer visits.
- As part of customer visitation protocols, detailed package audits will be conducted to ensure ongoing material and packaging equipment performance levels are maintained.
- Develop and provide on site training to customers on vacuum packing technology, equipment troubleshooting and packaging film attributes and provide mechanical support as necessary.
- Respect the confidentiality of customer and Winpak processes.
- Promote the development of a safe working environment and respect all customer protocols governing the handling of food or medical products.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.

**Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience in a technical capacity within the food or medical packaging.
- 5+ years of experience working with packaging equipment including vacuum, gas flush, skin pack and flow pack technologies.
- 1+ years of experience working with polymer attributes and packaging material manufacturing processes with an emphasis on extrusion, lamination and converting.
- 3+ years of experience working independently with mínimal supervision, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), and organizational skills.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally and hold a valid passport.
- Must be able to work outside of standard business hours to ensure customer support

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, supplemented with a minimum of 2 years of post secondary education in a related field.
- Understand the basic concepts associated with shelf-life extension of perishable food and medical packaging protocols.
- 3+ years of experience with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- 3+ years of experience in engaging effectively with all levels of an organization, fostering positive relationships and collaboration.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95, 000
