**What is the Opportunity?**
Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry. Aecon Nuclear’ s portfolio of building, refurbishing, maintaining, and decommissioning nuclear power facilities reflects a record of project success that ranges from small but essential maintenance contracts, to major construction endeavors. Working with our joint venture partner Atkins Realis, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded the definition phase contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to assist in planning the Pickering Retube, Feeder and Boiler replacement (RFBR) project. This project involves the refurbishment of four reactors and replacement of the forty eight steam generators at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.
Reporting to the Procurement Team Lead, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for issuing material requisitions of commodities, equipment, and services as well as shipping/receiving functions.
**What You'll Do Here**:
- The coordination of purchases for a wide range of materials and services.
- Prepare and review purchase requisitions and related documentation to ensure clarity and completeness with the description of materials, components or equipment, quantity, adherence to quality assurance requirements, and obtain required authorization to proceed with the purchase.
- Enter purchase requisitions and other associated essential data into the Project database SAP or other similar system
- Ensure proper drawings, technical specifications, and quotes are included with the SAP requisitions.
- Prepare Subcontracts for services including post-award contract administration tasks.
- This position will be the primary Liaison to maintain effective communication between the Project Team, Engineering, Construction and Procurement to ensure materials and services are purchased in accordance with quality requirements while adhering to schedule.
- Work closely with the Procurement team to develop reports and provide updates as required regarding delivery dates and financial data.
- Monitor material deliveries to assist Procurement and Materials Management teams to identify critical deliveries to site.
- Expediting of materials as required.
- Work from Whitby-Tricont Office.
**What You Bring to the Table**:
- 5+ years’ experience in the Construction Industry in a procurement or project coordination role.
- Bachelor’s degree or an educational background in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering, is required.
- Able to travel between Whitby-Tricont office, Pickering office and site on occasion.
- Experience in drafting and administering contracts.
- Basic knowledge of contract administration procedures.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
