Miller Waste Systems - Data Warehouse Specialist
Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller is a leader in waste management, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba. Miller has over 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector and operates out of 30 locations. We are currently undergoing an overhaul of our critical business systems and have a need for a Data Warehouse Specialist to assist with the implementation of new technology. Position to be located at our Miller Waste Systems Head Office location.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Data warehouse (Synapse)
- Develop data pipelines for data ingestion
- Assist in the implementation of other business systems
- Design and develop data sets and models to address the reporting and integration needs of the business.
- Create Power BI reports and dashboards
- Develop and maintain documentation governing processes and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong experience with Azure data services, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL, Data Lake, Power BI.
- University degree or equivalent in data analytics, statistics, math, or computer science, with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Experience with working with API’s
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a diverse audience in business terms.
- Excellent knowledge of Python and SQL
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
