LHSC is known for its great people and great care, with a workforce of close to 15,000, dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care while partnering with communities to transform health, one life at a time.
- The South West Regional Cancer Program (SWRCP) oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the counties of Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth, Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin and part of Norfolk. The SWRCP works to ensure that patients receive the same quality of care, regardless of where they live.

Regional Cancer Programs were created and are funded by Cancer Care Ontario. There are 13 Regional Cancer Programs across Ontario. They consist of networks of hospitals and other agencies who are involved in providing cancer prevention, screening, diagnostic, treatment and support services. They respond to local cancer issues, coordinate care across local and regional healthcare providers and work to continually improve access to care, wait times and the quality of cancer programs and services.

For each Regional Cancer Program, there is a Regional Cancer Centre. The Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre operates as the Regional Cancer Centre for the South West Regional Cancer Program. Cancer care in the South West region of Ontario is delivered through a network of service providers.
