**Department Description**:
**Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre**

The Chemo Clerk is responsible for validating, scheduling and maintaining Chemotherapy, as well as supporting the coordination of tests and procedures within LHSC/Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre and throughout Southwestern Ontario. They act as the liaison between Oncologists, Hematologists, medical specialists, physicians, regional cancer centers and the medical staff of Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre.

**Regular Part Time**

**Rate of Pay**: $27.54 per hour - $34.42 per hour

**Hours of Work**: up to 22.5 hours per week, no guarantee of hours

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a 2 year diploma in Medical Office Administration
- Minimum 2 years clerical experience in a clinical environment
- Previous experience in Oncology preferred
- Proficient communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Advanced attention to detail skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to problem solve
- Proficient Microsoft Office, Electronic Patient Record and Workload Measurement skills
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
