The opportunity

This is an exciting time in IMDEX’s history. We are strengthening our focus on driving the execution of IMDEX’s mining automation technology into open cut and underground mining operations, on a global scale.

This career defining position will provide an experienced Product Manager and industry professional the opportunity to manage IMDEX’s Blast DOG and other solutions on a global scale. Based in Vancouver, you will assume the role as global expert with respect to global market requirements to ensure IMDEX constantly delivers above customer expectations. You will be responsible for product line extensions, achieved via internal development, acquisition or external development opportunities.

Specific duties include:

- Drive product strategy and manage product development road map
- Managing each product through its lifecycle from concept to obsolescence
- Conducting early-stage opportunity assessment for new products
- Managing a new product through the engineering process by consulting with development teams and seeking ongoing validation from customers
- In partnership with Marketing, creating product marketing strategy and tactics for marketing campaigns
- Providing in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis
- Providing sales, market share, trend and profitability analysis for the product line
- Monitoring adoption and usage via regional revenues and profitability by product line

To set yourself up for success you will have significant resources industry experience in product management or commercial sales with expertise across the whole product lifecyclefrom managing a product through engineering and ongoing validation with customers. Your agility and flexibility to adapt and communicate in clear, concise terms and ability to develop and maintain strong and trusting relationships across all stakeholders is essential.

Additional requirements include:

- Bachelor degree qualification in Engineering or Geoscience (or similar)
- 3+ years’ experience as Product Manager
- Experience managing hardware-based products into the market and managing subcontractors for product delivery
- Proven ability to undertake marketing activities and build strong networks
- Exposure to surface and/or underground mining Drill & Blast and wire logging favourable
- Some exposure to machine autonomy or petrophysics background favourable
- Ability to clear pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and national police clearance requirements
