Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefits, Dental Benefits, Extended Health Benefits. **Salary**: $29.68 - $38.46 CAD per hour **Duties**: Management - Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with studio General Managers to create strategic and supportive studio facilities staff schedules - Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates by responding to emergency staff calls and ensuring that all studios are properly supported - Recruit and screen new hires, providing input to General Manager hiring decisions - Serve as the main Point of Contact (POC) for new hires' training, while also leading by example in managing the training process - Coordinate meetings with individual staff members to review their individual roles, corrective action, and to address any concerns - Work alongside human resources in addressing progressive discipline - Monitor and coordinate proper staffing needs Studio Maintenance - Develop proper protocols to ensure all studios' maintenance supplies and inventory are up to company standards/needs - Develop maintenance procedures and ensure their implementation - Troubleshoot issues to determine causes and solutions - Regularly report cadence of any repair issues that need professional attention to the Director of Operations and third-party repair vendors, e.g., Woodway - Work closely with the General Manager during studio tours and inspections to bring anything outstanding up to standard, as assigned - Schedule minor studio repairs, including but not limited to: locker repairs, lighting, plumbing, painting, washer and dryer troubleshooting, and any other facility repairs - Assist the Facilities team by working maintenance shifts at studios, cleaning studio floors (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming) as a backup when needed - Complete special projects and assignments, as necessary Facilities Management - Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities - Order proper parts to ensure there is a well-stocked inventory, while promptly completing return shipping of broken parts - Coordinate preventative maintenance, and schedule deep cleaning as needed for each studio - Assist with and coordinate treadmill repairs across studios Company Culture - Work to uphold Barry's community and culture standards, and live the company mission, vision, and values daily - Represent the Barry's brand within the studio and throughout the local fitness community - Assist in participating in and enhancing the community with your studio and regional teams **Requirements**: - Fluent in English - Spanish is an asset - Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager in a gyM/Fitness studio - Experience with repair and maintenance of Woodway treadmills preferred - Strong technical aptitude and follow-through - Knowledge of facilities upkeep - Electrical and/or mechanical education required - Written and verbal communication skills - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and directions - Ability to stand, crawl, walk, push, pull and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
