Position Overview

This position provides a wide range of administrative duties for fire personnel within the Fire Department, including specific responsibilities for Training and Mechanical / Maintenance divisions. This position also provides back up support for other fire department divisions, when needed, including specific responsibilities for Fire Prevention and Communications (9‑1‑1 Dispatch) divisions.

Responsibilities

The Fire Divisions Associate will perform various administrative tasks on behalf of the department, examples include:- Key public contact for general inquiries for the fire department, including fire safety, such as smoke alarm information- Provide basic budget support in the areas of monthly reports, account reconciliation, invoicing, and general review- Provide point of sale customer service- Provide website support by updating internal / external information for divisions supported- Provide back up to another Fire Divisions Associate- Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent experience in a computer office environment- Possess 3 to 5 years of administrative and customer service experience- Excellent customer service skills- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs- Knowledge of SAP or budgeting software, including familiarity with budget reporting is preferred- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team- Possess strong organizational and communication skills- Consistently produces quality work with attention to detail
