**Waste Management Technician or Planner **to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

**Responsibilities**:
**What your day will look like**
**Project Support & Waste Management Planning**
- Assist in solid waste projects related to waste management policy, planning and approvals, waste diversion programs and waste management facilities across Canada.
- Completion and supervision of environmental field activities including waste composition studies, monitoring, maintenance, evaluation and trouble-shooting
- Completion of data analysis.
- Completion of reporting.
- Assist in developing and participating in public consultation programs and preparing public-facing content.
- Assist project managers, engineers, environmental scientists and others on a variety of multidisciplinary solid waste management projects.
- Coordinate and manage project tasks, budgets and schedules.

- Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
- Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.
- Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
Qualifications:
**What you will need to succeed**
- A degree or diploma in environmental science, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in solid waste management, preferably within a consulting environment.
**Experience**:
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, and keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Aptitude to learn.
- Familiar with relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, environmental policies, codes and standards.
- Experience leading/completing waste composition studies would be an asset.
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD, GIS, Surfer, gINT or database abilities is an asset.
