Carleton Environmental Services (CES) is a family owned and operated business located in rural South Ottawa. We have proudly been serving the community, providing expert and trustworthy waste management services to Ottawa and surrounding areas since 1957. Our waste management services include commercial and residential septic pumping services, portable toilet rentals, and grease trap servicing and maintenance. The CES team is customer service focused and committed to providing timely, superior services and products for our clients.

Our Office Team is responsible for responding to customer inquires and concerns, booking service calls, organizing service call routes, and invoicing. Our Operations Team of waste management specialists is responsible for completing the service calls. Collectively, these two teams work to provide professional and high-quality service for our customers.

We are currently looking for a **full-time Technician **to join our team. Our Technicians are responsible for completing a service route each day. The service route will involve cleaning and stocking supplies for portable toilet rentals throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas. Each CES truck is equipped with a vacuum pump and hose, pressure washer, storage supply boxes, and tools for loading and unloading portable toilets using a lift gate. Portable sanitation training will be provided and services must be completed to the highest standard. The Technician will work in association with the Team Lead, Shop Staff, and Office Dispatch, and will report directly to the CES President.

**Experience and Skills**
- Labouring experience would be an asset
- Janitorial / sanitation experience would be an asset
- Experience in customer service environment would be an asset
- Must be able to take direction and follow company policies / procedures
- Must be able to move portable toilets and pull the hoses; capable of lifting/lugging between 40-50lbs
- Must be willing to work under varying weather conditions (e.g. outside in the heat during summer and in cold during winter)
- Must be able to work well independently
- Must be conscientious and have exceptional attention to detail
- Must have a valid G class drivers license; a DZ license would be an asset (not required)
- Must have experience in the safe operation of vehicles and equipment

Health benefits after 3 months of employment

**Salary**: starting at $20.00 per hour (negotiable depending on skills and experience)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
