Five Star Building Services is growing We are looking for a building manager who will be based in the Burnaby location.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the building you will be in.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Building Management**:

- Provide stellar customer service to our residents, going above and beyond to meet their needs.
- Collaborate seamlessly with our Strata Property Manager and management team, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
- Proactively identify maintenance needs and take swift action to address them, ensuring our building remains in top condition.
- Perform regular maintenance and repair of the property including but not limited to changing light bulbs, painting, minor drywall repair, patch walls, basic electrical, and understanding of HVAC.
- Handle administrative tasks with finesse, from managing schedules to handling payments and deposits.
- Respond promptly to on-site emergencies, demonstrating grace under pressure and a commitment to safety.
- Oversee tradespeople and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to our exacting standards.
- Operate security systems and conduct regular inspections, safeguarding our residents and property.

**Handyman Training**:

- Develop and implement training programs for handymen to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of building systems.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve training curriculum and techniques.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Generate regular reports on property maintenance status, budget utilization, and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for optimizing maintenance operations and enhancing tenant satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in building maintenance and facilities management, preferably in a commercial or residential property management setting.
- Proficiency in handyman skills is a requirement for this role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate team members.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to building maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Education and Certifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certifications or vocational training in building maintenance or related fields preferred.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
