**HEAD CONCIERGE/TEAM LEAD: RESIDENTIAL STRATA BUILDINGS**
We are expanding our team and welcome talented CONCIERGE professionals to join us. We are looking for passionate, service-driven individuals with outstanding customer service and solid supervisory track records to lead a team of concierge staff in large residential strata buildings.
**Locations**: NORTH BURNABY - NEAR HOLDOM/GILMORE SKYTRAIN STATIONS
The Head Concierge will work directly with our Operations Management Team in ensuring smooth operations in their designated site(s). They hold a key leadership role in their building(s), overseeing all aspects of client relations with residents, property managers, building staff, contractors and where applicable, developer staff.
The Head Concierge provide concierge services, exceeding the expectations of the Concierge job description.
They are nimble in responding to the demands of their sites, adopt a “team” perspective, and excel under pressure. With reliability and accountability, the Head Concierge problem-solve and think quickly to resolve matters using tact and discretion.
**Team Lead Scope**:
The Head Concierge must be experienced and comfortable in team lead supervisory functions. This includes: training and developing existing and new staff, assessing and correcting performance, and modelling and building on the Company’s standards for high quality and expedient service delivery to all parties. Leadership skills, excellent communication and strong work ethic are required to be successful in this role.
**Duties**:
- Providing concierge services
- Addressing and resolving complaints and/or issues escalated by concierge team
- Effectively responding to property manager’s requests
- Supervising, training and developing the concierge team on site
- Scheduling to ensure site(s)’ operating needs are consistently met
- Working with Management to develop and update operating procedures and practices
- Working with Human Resources to ensure staff requests and needs are communicated and met
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as _Head Concierge_ in fast-paced, strata setting
- Genuine customer-service focus
- Superb ability to listen and proactively address issues
- Great at multi-tasking, handling multiple and shifting demands and timelines
- Adept at handling challenging situations and diffusing conflict
- Excellent communication skills, including professional writing
- Ability to work flexible hours to respond to business needs
- Commitment to high standards of service
- Hospitality training/hospitality industry experience
- Minimum two (2) years' supervisory experience with ability to train, mentor and build team capacity
- High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
**Work Environment**:
- Full-time Monday-Friday, 36 hours/week. Must work Statutory Holidays.
- Regular schedule: Monday-Thursday 8AM-3PM & Friday 8AM-4PM
- Fast-paced environment
- Use of computer equipment, including spreadsheets, to produce reports
- Flexibility in hours necessary, including some weekends
- Physical capacity for regular walking and monitoring premises
- Will team lead 2 team members
