St. Albert Public Schools
is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary,

Technical Analyst 2 for a work assignment with the Information Services department.

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools.

From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are

recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : 35

hrs./week; 7 hrs./day; Monday-Friday; Full Time Probationary

Hourly Rate: $28.81 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective

Agreement

Start Date: As soon as possible

Specific Needs/Requirements for this

position:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of desktop computer

General to intermediate knowledge of some enterprise level

software and management systems.

General knowledge of security best practices such as 2FA

and phishing mitigation.

Understanding of operational practices and strong

communication and problem-solving skills.

Collaboratively work as a member of the Information

services team to make recommendations/resolve issues.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to independently troubleshoot most levels of

software and hardware problems.

Perform duties within policies, procedures, and schedules

Working in conjunction with the Information Services

Manager, assist in determine priorities of problems/assistance and an

appropriate approach.

Qualifications & Experience:
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

are mandatory

Diploma/degree in a related field preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+,

Microsoft Certified Professional) are an advantage

1 year of closely related education can be substituted for

1 year of experience

3 years minimum experience in computer hardware and

software installation, computer and network installation and support,

trouble-shooting, and maintenance.
