We are hiring a dedicated, innovative and creative General Manager for Monika's Art Boutique Studio facilities on Upper Lonsdale and Lynn Valley Mall. Our boutique programs offer wonderful programming for kids with a variety of artistic educational programming open to all ages. We also offer an array of handmade artisan products, unique specialty workshops, art retreats, as well as an online art school with digital courses and tutorials. Our business is rapidly expanding with licensees operating our programs in their cities and our franchise agreements will be ready by end of 2024. We currently have an opportunity for an amazing General Manager to join our team who will be responsible for an array of day to day operations to keep both locations operating optimally.

Full training is provided and a dedicated team of 10 employees with designated roles as Team Leaders and Studio Facilitators awaits a talented go getter who can take charge, multi task as well as inspire and lead the entire team. All applicants must have experience leading teams of 10+ employees in the past and have solid management experience.

We are looking for a General Manager who can commit to working with our owner, team and students to the end of June 2025 for these specific hours. During the Summer of 2024, our summer camps start and hours will change slightly for shift with the possibility for increased hours. This position is open for a year to year contract that is renewable each year depending on performance. We hope to retain the right General Manager for a minimum of 5 years.

Additional skills & training for the General Management position include:

- Versatility, charisma, and a positive attitude
- Punctual and adaptable
- Eager to work with a team in the arts education industry and to learn new skills
- Ability and confidence to lead a group of up to 12 staff and 30 students
- Staff scheduling: overseeing a team of up to 12 staff
- Assertiveness, leadership and command of a classroom or group of students is a must
- Overseeing curriculum development and planning with team leaders
- Assigning tasks to the team and delegation of weekly tasks
- Communication with team and parents
- Creativity and outside of the box thinking
- Adaptable to student needs, sudden changes and ability to adjust curriculum on the spot
- Personable with owner, team, parents and students
- Art skills are encouraged but not necessary

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40,000-$45,000

Expected hours: 40 per week, one weekend shift per month.
