Based in Toronto, as a Policy Advisor, you’ll work on high-stakes, complex issues like flood risk, earthquake risk, climate risk mitigation and cyber risk. You’ll conduct in-depth research and analysis to develop and articulate innovative policy positions that address today’s most pressing challenges. You will collaborate with Canada’s home, car, and business insurers to ensure their voices are heard on the national public policy agenda, while working closely with industry leaders to build consensus and represent their perspectives effectively. Your role will involve drafting compelling submissions for public consultations at both federal and provincial levels, preparing detailed briefing materials, reports, and policy notes for key meetings and committees, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for transformative change in catastrophic and climate risk policy.
