Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

**The opportunity**

We are currently seeking to fill **2 Part-Time, Permanent Support Services Attendant** positions in the Central Toronto area.

**Hours**: Upto 30 hours per week

**Responsibilities**
- Assist consumers in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living according to individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:

- Personal care
- Lifts and transfers
- Rising/retiring
- Bowel and bladder procedures
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion exercises
- Other light housekeeping duties
- Perform duties in a manner that respects the dignity and privacy of consumers and maintains the health and safety of both consumers and staff.

**Qualifications and experience**
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with people with physical disabilities and knowledge of Independent Living or Consumer-based care.
- Knowledge and skills in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties.
- Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.
