**Acting Community Use of Schools Outreach Assistant** **Temporary Full Time - August 18, 2025 (until no later than February 12, 2027)** Keaton Center (Plant & Facilities) **Salary**: $1,073.09/week - $1,225.80/week ***: Reporting to the Supervisor, Facility Rentals and Central Stores, the main responsibilities of this position involve interacting with a variety of different groups and organizations. Some of these groups include: Permits staff, Plant Supervisory staff, School Administrators, municipalities, community agencies and different user groups. Communication with these groups is a critical part of this position, as it involves tailoring each action to each specific group. One of the other additions to the role involves the responsibility of managing and maintenance of the Permits Software. This is mainly through updating documents as well as reviewing the website for errors. The position also entails communication, through the development of reports, with the Ministry of Education. We work to oversee the development and implementation of mandates and update policy frameworks to meet their visions and goals. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Liaising with Ministry of Education, municipalities, community agencies, schools and user groups (e.g. holding regular meetings with all stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education to build program consistency) - Liaise with Permit User Groups and School staff in coordinating arrangements - Respond to inquires from User Groups and Schools - Monitor User Groups and their use of facilities through visits to schools and events - Schedule appointments and meeting with User Groups, School Administrators and other Board Staff - Working with area schools to determine community and school capacity to deliver and manager programs - Aligning and implementing local Community Use of Schools program and policy frameworks with Ministry of Education vision and goals - Overseeing program implementation and working with local school board and Ministry of Education to provide feedback about local programs, including reporting to the Ministry of Education - Coordinating the timely and accurate collection of Community Use of Schools program data to provide mandatory reports annually/bi-annually for Community Use of Schools grant funding and Outreach Co-coordinator funding, including other data as required - Plan, prepare and conduct outreach workshops, seminars and other promotional activities for community use of schools - Manage and expand implementation of Community Use of Schools software - In accordance with a schedule determined by the Facility Rentals and Central Stores and in cooperation with the Board’s Web Architect, review the schools’ websites for appropriate information related to the Community Use of Schools **QUALIFICATIONS**: - University/College Degree/Diploma in Business - Two (2) years relevant experience - Proficient in the use of Board provided computer-based technologies to create, manipulate, store and retrieve information, and communicate with others - Experience working with Municipalities & Community agencies, regarding permits - Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act - Knowledge of Board's Community Use of Schools Policies APPLICANT INFORMATION: To be considered for this position, please click **Apply**.
