Dick’s Lumber in **Edmonton** is looking for a detail oriented, sales driven and customer service oriented team player to join our team as an Expeditor.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Expedite all special order products through out the system from when they are quoted and ordered to when they are delivered to the customer.
- Maintain contact with customers as to the status of their orders and advise when they are completed.
- Source non stock custom products from various vendor product lines for the customer.
- Supply Inside, Outside and Counter Sales staff with accurate pricing on special order products as needed.
- Establish cash or financing options and provide assistance to customer account inquiries.
- Process all special order returns both with customers and vendors.
- Establish relationships with vendors for favorable pricing.
- Ensure that the correct products were received from the vendor and that the paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure product is clearly tagged with Customer contact information.
- Ensure that special order policies and procedures are adhered to, pertaining to payments, invoicing and billing.
- Maintains weekly sales reports on all sales activities.
- Performs other job-related duties as required including but not limited to purchasing and controlling inventory of certain stock items.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong knowledge of lumber, building materials and hardware products.
- Ability to assess customer requirements and make product recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of customer service fundamentals is essential.
- Professional, courteous and punctual with a focus on customer service.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize the work of others.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with individuals within and outside the organization.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently with mínimal supervision.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Exposure to dust, dirt and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside.
- Busy, high volume environment.
