Join our team as our newest **Automation Technician**

**Your daily responsibilities will include**:

- PLC, robot, machine vision and HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance of production and support controls equipment
- Provide technical assistance and support regarding all projects, installations, and repairs
- Undertake emergency troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to determine problems associated with the machines
- Responsible for providing input on various tooling modifications to improve production efficiency and product quality and meet continuous improvement goals.
- Review and comply with the daily production requirements and schedule.
- Make process adjustments and respond to alarm conditions to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of process improvements that affect safety, morale, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Utilize the principles of lean manufacturing as a basis for the improvement process.
- Develop and monitor systems to track success and indicate further areas for improvement.
- Prepare technical reports as a result of research, development, and preventative maintenance.
- Support development and management of a programme plan for the implementation of a new cell.

**What are we looking for?**
- Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (Robot and Automation Program) and/or Provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309A) or applicable substitute
- 3-4 years experience in an automotive manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and Robotics
- Experience in CNC and robotic repair/ programming would be an asset.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Able to interpret and design electrical schematics
- Excellent problem solving, judgement and decision-making skills

**Experience**:
