- **What you can expect in a Controls/Automation Technician role at 2CM Innovative**:_
- Commission, set up, install and program PLCs and HMIs in accordance with the customer requirements. Test and verify the quality of installations. Provide training to clients.
- Plan assigned work in an efficient method to minimize machine downtime while ensuring employee safety is maintained.
- Understanding of electrical schematic diagrams, blueprints and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Work in accordance with lead Engineer specifications and guidelines.
- Assist with PLC/HMI/Drives programming.
- Modify robot, PLC programs and machine screen interfaces.
- Provide support for all departments when launching new programs.
- Investigate malfunctioning/damaged products, identify problems and report findings to lead Engineer(s).
- Responsible for the integration of Allen Bradley/Siemens/Omron, PLCs and HMIs.
- Ability to create and modify electrical drawings (AutoCAD), Process & Instrumentation
- Service, maintain, repair, install and test equipment in accordance to current machine specifications.
- Preventive and Corrective maintenance of automation equipment (i.e. machine robotics, assembly equipment, End-of-Arm Tooling, packaging and conveying equipment, vision inspection systems). Preventive and Corrective maintenance of injection molding and support equipment.
- **What You’ll Bring**:_
- Successful completion of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (2-3-year Robot and Automation Program).
- 3+ years of experience as a Controls Technician ideally in production orientated environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Strong knowledge of HMI programming and Robotics (ABB, Fanuc).
- Familiar with all applicable Machines, Robots and Press safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
