America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is on the hunt for EHS Program Manager who is attention to detail, strong communication skills, problem solving ability and showcases leadership and has an influence on safety to join our Canadian Operations.
**Responsibilities**:
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Implementation
:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
- Lead the development, execution and continual use of safety training programs and initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance
:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and ensure the organization's EHS programs are aligned with current standards.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
- Training & Education
:
- Oversee EHS training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Emergency Response & Preparedness
:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure the organization is prepared to respond to EHS incidents.
- Sustainability Initiatives
:
- Promote and implement sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
- Work with leadership to develop and achieve sustainability goals.
- Reporting & Documentation
:
- Provide regular reports to EHS Director on the status of EHS programs and key performance indicatorsSecurity Initiatives:
- Promote and implement security initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education
: Certificate in OH&S
- Experience
: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
- Certifications
: CRSP, NCSO, CSO.
- Skills
:
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
