**Health and Safety Coordinator**

New Generation Concrete Ltd. - Surrey, BC

New Generation Concrete Ltd. is an established concrete company operating out of Surrey, BC. We are looking for professional, experienced, and reliable Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **EHS Program Implementation**: Identifying needs and managing an EHS inspection program across projects.
- **COR Certification**: Acting as the primary contact with the Construction Safety Officer to achieve COR Certification.
- **Health and Safety Programs**: Develop and implement health and safety programs, including standard operating procedures, policies and training to mitigate risk, optimize worker’s health and safety and foster a positive occupational health and safety culture.
- **Safety Orientations**: Facilitating orientations for new hires to introduce safety practices.
- **Policy Enforcement**: Enforcing EHS policies, conducting regular site safety meetings and record minutes.
- **Reporting**: Compiling and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- **Risk Mitigation**: Identifying and addressing unsafe acts/conditions and conducting incident responses and investigations.
- **Communication**: Communicate, engage and influence decision-makers and workers to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
- **Job Site Inspections and Audits**: Lead and participate in workplace inspections to ensure that equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employees
- **Toolbox Meetings**: Revise/collect Toolbox meetings on all active projects.
- **Hazard Assessments**: Reviewing/create site specific Field Level Hazard Assessments (FHLA) and conducting Job Hazard Analyses for various tasks.
- **Incident Investigation and Reporting**: Conduct comprehensive investigation of all job site incidents. Document findings and report them back to management with detailed recommendations for preventative measures.
- **Committee Participation**: Engaging in the joint occupational health and safety committee to promote collaborative safety efforts.
- **Documentation**: Maintaining organized filling systems both in the Site Docs System and paper-based.
- **Site Docs Management**:Revise, update and manage Site Docs ensuring all employees follow HSE regulations.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Current Level 1 First Aid certification.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an EHS role within the construction industry.
- Excellent problem solving.
- Ability to work with safety data and produce reports using computer-based technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- CSO (Certified Construction Safety Officer) designation is an asset but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $56,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
