**Minimum Qualifications**
- Certification (or within 90 days of receiving certification) as a kinesiologist, physiotherapist, physiotherapist aide, massage therapist, personal fitness trainer, or dance / yoga / Pilates instructor); or a degree (awarded or in progress) in kinesiology, physical education, or related field.
- 1 year experience working in the health and fitness industry or related industry
- Willing to complete StretchLab Flexologist training (paid) promptly upon hire; final hire is dependent on successful completion.
- Highly reliable team player.
- Must pass a background check prior to hire.
- Must be able to work 20-30 hours per week.

**Desirable Qualifications**
- Experience within a customer service / relationship building environment.
- Experience working hands-on, 1:1 with clients.
- Passionate about the value of stretching and its role in improving mobility, flexibility, performance, and overall wellness.

**About the Job**

We will be located at 1912 Oak Bay Avenue. This part-time position (20-25 hours/week) is 100% in-person and the work requires hands-on, physical contact with clients. Some weekend and evening work shifts are required, but the aim is to be flexible and ensure that everyone on the team can enjoy a healthy work/life balance. StretchLab prides itself on having the finest team of stretching professionals. StretchLab’s proprietary Flexologist training must be successfully completed to join the team. Time and travel to attend the training is paid.
- Deliver excellent one-on-one assisted stretch sessions that convert prospects to members, and retain members who have joined using static, passive and PNF stretching.
- Educate clients about why you are choosing certain stretches and how it will help them achieve their goals.
- Assess client mobility, flexibility, muscle activation and posture/symmetry to develop a customized stretch plan.
- Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions.
- Ensure safety of clients regarding proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab policies and safety rules.
- Promptly complete detailed notes of each visit to ensure continuity of service.
- Assist General Manager and Assistant Studio Manager as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and required continuing educational presentations.
- Clean and maintain all equipment.
- Be a brand ambassador and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions.

Everyone offered a position as a StretchLab Flexologist must complete the Flexologist Training Program before hiring can be finalized. The program includes:

- 20 hours of online tutorials
- 2 days of in-person/hands-on training in Vancouver, BC, or Seattle, WA, USA. (Travel and time paid)
- A performance / skill test at the end of the in-person training
- 20 hours of practical training (demo clients available through studio presale program)
- Bi-weekly continuing education with other flexologists post-hire (required)
