Maintenance Technician-night Shift

Our Que Pasa Foods facility, located in Delta, is expanding and is looking for a fulltime **Maintenance Technician** to join our amazing team The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily tasks maintaining equipment in the Factory in order to ensure that production continues in a safe and efficient manner. **Schedule** - Must be on shift rotation as per production requirements - Must be available to work any day in a week including the weekends, holidays and emergencies - Must have reliable transportation due to limited bus routes on the weekends **Benefits** - $1,000 Signing Bonus - Company-paid extended health benefits coverage (medical, dental & vision) after 3 months of employment - Quarterly bonus program - Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability - RRSP Matching program - Paid Vacation - Paid Sick Days - Wellness Programs & Incentives - Discounts on products - Referral Bonus - "Green My Ride" Carpool & Vehicle Incentives **Duties & Responsibilities** - Advanced PLC’s (programmable logic controllers) - High Speed Packaging experience - Instrumentation skill set & knowledge - Basic understanding of OSHA and safety procedures - Technical understanding of the operation of the equipment and machinery - Preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned safely and report unsafe conditions - Troubleshoot/repair equipment when called, and address root cause - New equipment installation/commissioning - Maintain high level of cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop - Requires standing, walking, reaching and bending for multiple periods of time and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. in a safe manner - Perform electrical work up to 600 volts, 3 phase system - Electrical trouble shooting - Other assigned duties **Requirements and Qualifications** - Preferred **c**ertified Industrial Millwright/ Industrial Electrician/ Electrical engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Power Engineer - Preferred 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and plant operations - Preferred 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment - High school diploma, or GED, or technical program - Must be familiar or have knowledge of electrical control on production equipment - Food manufacturing experience with combustion oven is desired - Experience reading diagrams and schematic drawings - Has Tig welding skills or willing to learn - Has a positive attitude with a team player mindset - Demonstrates performance driven to meet target outputs and deadlines - Hard working, reliable independent and self-motivated - Has the ability to work efficiently and in a high-paced environment - Steel toed shoes are required **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Commuter benefits - Dental care - Disability insurance - Discounted or free food - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care - Wellness program Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Holidays - Night shift - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Overtime pay COVID-19 considerations: To keep our employees as safe as possible, we've installed body thermal scanners, clear plastic barriers, and provided masks, gloves and hand sanitizer.
