Business Analyst

The Group Insurance & Savings business is undertaking a major transformation to build a solid foundation for achieving its ambitious business plan, focused on significantly increasing sales and profitability.

The Reboot program is one of the two key elements in building this foundation. The main objectives of the Reboot program are:

- Customer: increase service quality for all external stakeholders
- Employee: simplify business processes and improve the tools available to our employees
- Growth: scale our operations and strengthen our competitiveness to support our ambitious growth plans
- Efficiency: increase technological and administrative efficiency

The aim of this ambitious transformation program is to review all processes and the structure of Group Insurance, Savings and Retirement operations, and to implement and integrate a new technological solution to support these processes.

**Responsibilities**
- Carry out analyses centered on the business need that will guide the solutions to be implemented, documenting it in detail and validating it on an ongoing basis with business managers.
- Identify requirements for customer interfaces, such as display screens, reports or dashboards, to meet business needs.
- In collaboration with other analysts, designers and developers, identify and formalize business rules, transposition to systemic contexts or data transformation.
- Identify and document processes requiring updating, and suggest improvements to simplify and increase efficiency.
- Participate in the definition of functional, integrated or acceptance test plans and coordinate their execution in support of users.
- Manage continuous improvement and development projects, sometimes in the role of product owner (PO), in compliance with administrative and technological constraints.
- Act as liaison between business teams and the technical implementation team.
- Contribute to the development and updating of the sector's IT solutions development strategy.
- Understand, analyze, document and support partners/users in clarifying their needs.
- Produce comprehensive, fully documented, evidence-based analyses.
- Formulate professional opinions and pragmatic recommendations, all in accordance with established standards, rules and guidelines.
- Review data and reports to detect underlying trends, significant deviations and identify root causes of various issues.
- Actively contribute to solving operational problems and proposing solutions to improve processes and ways of doing things.
- Carry out professional activities and deliverables in collaboration with others in his/her field or work team.

**Profile required**
- DEC or bachelor's degree in computer science, administration or other relevant training at the same level, and 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, processing, coordination and collaboration skills.
- Good communication, writing and popularization skills.
- Maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders from various sectors and of varying hierarchical levels.
- Appreciate and encourage contact with internal partners/users.
- Demonstrate curiosity, autonomy, rigor and a good sense of synthesis.
- Willingness to learn continuously.
- Knowledge of the BPMN standard is required.
- Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry will be considered an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, in both English and French, due to frequent interaction with English-speaking collaborators.
