Metro Vancouver Regional District, Canada City Haul Disposal Full time

**Description**

CHD goes in and takes things away. From construction sites, homes and anywhere else. We do a lot of work for non-private agencies. You will be helping smash things and hauling them off in a light dump truck, while also identifying, locating and securing various items.

Schedule is job-determined, so some weeks are busy, others quieter. We pay overtime and minimum 4 hour day's pay. Flexible time off if needed.

Other companies say every day is different - not always the case. Every day here does stand the chance to be quite, quite interesting though. Those bonus skills are on the list for a reason. Oh, and we buy you lunch. You'll eat all over Metro Vancouver and never look at houses and facilities quite the same way.

**Responsibilities**
- Safely transport materials - recyclables, non-recyc and secures - to and from jobs.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Adhere to transport laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Help maintain an organized, hazard-aware work environment.
- Identification and securement of specific items.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 5 or better driver's license - abstract may be required.
- Minimum of [4] years of experience as a driver.
- Ability to operate power tools - sawzall, powered drivers.
- Solid driving skills, comfortable with commercial vehicles.
- Good physical fitness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
- Criminal record check may be required.

**Bonus**
- Previous disposal/dump truck experience.
- Firearms Possession Acquisition License.
- Experience with respirators and light hazmat gear.
- Experience in small structure demolition.
- Customer experience - care homes, seniors, disenfranchised.
- WHMIS certification.
- First aid experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
