**Organization Overview**:
The South Fish Creek Recreation Association (SFCRA) is a not-for-profit organization that operates Cardel Rec South, a vibrant and busy community recreation facility. We proudly serve our community with four ice arenas, gymnasiums, eight multi-purpose rental/program rooms, and a diverse range of recreation programs.

**The SFCRA is seeking a dynamic team player to join us as a Part-Time Human Resources Generalist.**

**Position Summary**:
The HR Generalist will support employees and leaders in aligning organizational goals with HR best practices, fostering a culture of respect, growth, and well-being. Collaborating with a Senior HR Consultant, this role provides on-site administration and expertise in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Employee Relations**:

- Provide expert guidance on absence management, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Assist in full-cycle employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinaries, performance improvement plans, and terminations.

**Recruitment & Onboarding**:

- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and performing reference checks.
- Prepare hiring paperwork, including offer letters, employee agreements and new hire documents.
- Maintain updates to Job Descriptions in conjunction with organization and role changes

**Performance Management**:

- Guide managers on reviews, goal setting, and development plans.

**Compensation**:

- Advise on salary decisions and administer compensation surveys.

**Administration and Compliance**:

- Partner with Payroll to ensure compliance with employment standards for new hires, terminations, and employee changes. Cross train for payroll support as required.
- Administer security clearances and ensure adherence to employment standards, human rights legislation, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records using the organization’s HRIS; manage file uploads and document filing.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and updates to the Employee Handbook as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Strong knowledge of employment standards, human rights legislation, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (experience with ADP is an asset).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- HR certification (e.g., CPHR) and/or payroll experience is considered an asset.

**Working Environment**:This role requires a hands-on approach and on-site presence. A commitment of up to 20 hours per week with a flexible but consistent schedule is required. This position is ideal for someone seeking meaningful part-time work with flexibility. It is not a Full-Time position.
