Key Accountabilities

Data and Analytics Solution Delivery and Leadership- Collaborates with the Chief Data Officer and other departments in the Data Office on the development and deployment of the corporation’s data policy and data and analytics platform.- Oversees design, development, operations, Service Level Agreements, and maintenance for Data Office reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics solutions.- Provides production support; proactively monitors end-to-end reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics solutions performance; and explores methods that can be employed to improve performance for any/all components.- Oversees the documentation of business requirements to enable traceability and meaningful User Acceptance Testing for reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics solutions.- Oversees the documentation of advanced analytics solutions using a standard template to enable business end-user explainability.- Oversees how the Data Office leverages data sources and third-party information to support key business processes and complex decisions to generate business value.- Ensures evolving capabilities and trends in analytics (e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence) are leveraged in order to keep up with industry leaders.- Creates value by unlocking and sharing data and information in ways that will spur innovation.- Leads the intake and prioritization process for reporting and analytics solutions.- Participates in the Data & Analytics Management Council (DMC) and collaborates with other DMC members to provide oversight to the operational teams and continuously ensure data policy adherence.- Coordinates with the CDO, other departments in the Data Office, and IT in selecting data platform vendors, enhancing D&A technical capabilities, and rationalizing analytics tools across the organization.- Measures the outcomes of data and analytics initiatives and tracks performance of data services.
Data Strategy & Culture- Assists in Data & Analytics Management Framework (DMF) development and evolution to leverage data as a strategic asset and ensure its continuous deployment aligns with the business strategy.- Ensures that the design, development, and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions is aligned with critical business goals and the business strategy.- Partners with lines of business and corporate functions to understand current and future business strategies and goals and translates these requirements into relevant reporting and analytics solutions.- Assists in evolving future DMF across data strategy, tools, and processes.- Champions the innovative use of data as an asset to drive business objectives, strategies, tactics, and outcomes while aligning analytics projects with corporate priorities.- Ensures the alignment, coordination, and delivery of Data Office communications across SGI to promote data education and awareness, ensuring organization and individual adoption, proficiency, and utilization of our data assets.- Stays up to date with leading reporting and analytics solution practices.
Strategic Senior Management Leadership- Collaboratively, as part of the VP team, participates by providing Executive Leadership Team (ELT) insight and feedback on the short

- and long-term tactics to achieve corporate strategies.- In collaboration with ELT and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), determines resource commitments and capacity to deliver on the organization’s goals and strategies.- Supports the execution of company succession plans, ensuring developmental opportunities that provide progressive movement in employees’ growth and development.- In collaboration with EVPs, submits, represents, and presents operational and strategic reports and requests to ELT and the Board of Directors.- Leads, directs, and monitors change management strategies/plans to support and align to divisional and corporate strategies, and to gain acceptance of divisional strategies by other business areas and partners.
