Mind Forward is a not-for-profit agency funded by Ontario Health, to provide support and rehabilitation to survivors of acquired brain injury in the regions of Peel, Halton and Dufferin.
Mind Forward is currently seeking a **HR Generalist.**
**Position Description: HR Generalist**
**Reports to: Director, Human Resources**
**Position Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
**Recruitment and Onboarding**:
Assisting with recruiting new hires, posting jobs, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process.
**Employee Relations**:
Addressing employee inquiries, workplace investigations, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive work environment.
**Compensation and Benefits**:
Administering compensation and benefits programs, including enrollments and changes.
**Performance Management**:
Supporting performance reviews, goal setting, and career development.
**Compliance**:
Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, including HR policies and procedures.
**HRIS Management**:
Maintaining accurate employee records in HRIS systems and ensuring data privacy.
**Training and Development**:
Assisting with employee training programs and development initiatives.
**Return to work/Disability Management**
Create a safe RTW plan and disability management process including WSIB matters
**Employee Lifecycle Management**:
Managing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, including terminations.
**Policy and Procedure Development**:
Contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by the Director, Human Resources
**Qualifications and skills**
**Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in Ontario along with HR courses or diploma**
**Strong communication and interpersonal skills**: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers and external stakeholders.
**Good time management**
**Problem-solving skills**: Ability to identify and resolve workplace issues and conflicts.
**Organizational skills**: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
**Knowledge of HR laws and regulations**: Understanding of labor laws, employment standards, and other HR related legislation.
**Familiarity with HR systems**: Proficiency in using HRIS software and other HR-related technologies.
**Analytical skills**: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
