We are pleased to add an **Associate Program Manager (Airport Shift Manager), Aerodrome Compliance** to our Team, who will be responsible for the planning and implementation of regulatory programs and activities to support safe and efficient operations, while maintaining the integrity of the Airport’s Operating Certificate.

You will be responsible for the performance of Airport operations on assigned, rotational shifts. This role provides management and oversight for the on-duty airport maintenance team, fire crew, and security staff. You serve as the principal operations management representative during irregular operations (IROPs), emergency, weather, and other events.

**Your role as a Program Manager (Shift Manager)**:

- **Regulatory Compliance**:Responsible for all aspects of safety, security, and IROPs of activities within the Air Terminal Building and responsible for monitoring compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (CASRs), and tenant security responsibilities
- **CAP & CFS Programs**:Manage the Canada Air Pilot (CAP) and the Canadian Flight Supplement (CFS) for Hamilton International to ensure accuracy based on current operations, prepare changes to, and make required publication changes
- **Airport Operations Manual (AOM)**:Perform development, maintenance, and support activities for the AOM and all applicable appendices and perform all updates to the manual
- **Obstacle Limitations Surfaces (OLS) Program**:Responsible for ensuring the completion and coordination of OLS surveys, interpreting the raw data and submission to Transport Canada
- **Low/Reduced Visibility Operations Plan (LVOP/RVOP) Program**:Manage the Airport’s low visibility plan, and ensure compliance to the plan during low visibility events, as well as plan maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirement
- **Crisis Management**:Manage emergency situations and IROPs, activate and manage the Emergency Operations Centre as required and adhere to proper emergency call-out procedures
- **Customer Service**:Provide passenger and Air Carrier support during IROPs through active management of resources, plans, SOPs and programs
- **Supervision**:Provide direct supervision of assigned shift personnel by communicating performance expectations, monitor work activities, ensuring safety regulations are adhered, training personnel, and resolving employee conflicts
- **Administration**: Prepare detailed reports of daily operations, program updates, unusual incidents / accidents, hazardous conditions, and inspections

**Your success factors**:

- Post-secondary education with a Certificate or Diploma in Aviation Management, or relevant airport experience
- At minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in airport operations
- Experience in emergency response, incident command and IMS 100, 200, 300 required
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (CASRs)
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance required (ex: TP 312)
- Ability to interpret legislative information from Transport Canada Advisory Circulars and other technical data
- Extensive experience in writing technical reports, presentations, operational plans, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to evaluate technical data to determine trends and detect potential issues including compliance to applicable regulations
- Root cause analysis and process engineering skills are required
