Logistics Lead

Novid Inc. is an industry leader in the manufacturing of Stainless steel agricultural products.

**Logistics Lead**

$22.00 - $32.00 (Starting wage dependent on qualifications)
All necessary training will be provided.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Permitting
- Organize shipping schedule
- Effectively and clearly communicate deliveries with customers
- Provide guidance on routing and create new routes as required
- Stay up to date on new trucking regulations both US and CDN
- Shipping
- Request flat deck quotes and award jobs, send P.O.s
- Effectively communicate required information to carriers
- Schedule loading and delivery times with carriers
- Schedule Novid Transport drivers
- Confirm tank is safe to leave before departing the Novid yard
- Troubleshoot routing issues with drivers while they’re on the road
- Payroll & IFTA
- Review driver payroll hours
- Review pilot driver payroll hours
- Complete IFTA requirements and submit on a quarterly basis
- Supervisory
- Assist the Transport Manager in completing yearly reviews of the logistics team
- Provide input, feedback and assistant to the Transport Manager

Additional duties could include
- Piloting oversized loads
- Assisting the transport manager with relocation of fleet vehicles

Employment requirements:

- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years in a lead/supervisory role
- Minimum 3 years logistics/transport experience
- Valid class 5 drivers license required
- Class 1 drivers license considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail

**Experience**:

- logistics/transport: 3 years (required)
- leadership/supervisory: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
- Class 1 Licence (preferred)
