If you’re passionate about building and ready to make a difference with a team that values balance, we’d love to connect with you **a day in the life of a**construction administrator* at co-elevate* - Attend a stand-up meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday’s challenges and plan for the day’s tasks. - Provide meaningful oversight and mentorship of less experienced staff by providing engineering guidance and reviewing calculation packages. - A daily break for a game of Table Tennis or Golf Simulator is always welcomed. - Attend one of co-elevates group events such as potlucks, lunch & learns, book club, etc. - Participate in one of co-elevates charity causes such as blood drives, toy drives, food drives, or seasonal in-house charity events. - Conduct drawing review to ensure conformance to designs and seal drawings as needed. - At the end of a long day, it is commonplace for our leadership to send staff members home to ensure work-life balance. **what we are looking for in an intermediate construction administrator** We’re looking for a highly organized and proactive **Construction Administrator** to support our engineering team by managing project documentation, coordinating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth execution of construction processes. This role is essential in maintaining efficiency, quality, and compliance throughout the lifecycle of our projects. - **Experience**: 5+ years in construction administration, engineering support, or a related role. - **Technical Knowledge**: Strong familiarity with interpreting structural drawings and building knowledge. Familiarity with building construction terminology, contracts, and engineering documentation. - **Software Proficiency**: Experience with project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or other construction management software). - Bonus Points:_ C. Tech and/or CET accreditation You will be responsible for: - Completing and coordinating work associated with shop drawing reviews. - Providing and coordinating necessary inspections and field review reports - Coordinating documentation during construction including contemplated changes, site instructions or responses to request for information - Coordinating issues of concern with the stamping Engineer - Managing construction documents, including IFC drawings, and fulfilling Prime Consultant responsibilities - Developing and standardizing co-elevate’s Construction Administration program, including training and best practices - Opportunity to grow into a department leadership role and shape construction administration processes **benefits** - Competitive salary and performance-based bonus - Competitive health, dental, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage - Four weeks paid time off (including sick days) - Regular team building and social activities - Reimbursements of annual dues for professional organization - Continuing Education budget and time allotment This role is open to work in our London, Kitchener, or St. Thomas office.
