**BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER**

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of **Business Development Manager **to join our dynamic team in **Saint John, New Brunswick**.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling products and services through focus of opportunity-based sales quotas. The role will focus on reaching business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites. This individual will also develop and sustain new business. Integrity, passion, and a mindset towards being fast and flexible are essential for this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Define and implement market policies and strategies to achieve established target market objectives.
- Develop and execute sales plans and budgets, and overall market development.
- Meet goals for sales volume and profitability while ensuring the company's market share is maximized.
- Perform market research, product planning, sales forecasting and customer relations for target markets.
- Provide reports to source relevant business intelligence.
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships.
- Complete prequalification documents.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Competencies**:

- Degree/Diploma in the field of Sales/Marketing or bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Mechanical field.
- 5-7 years’ work experience in a Sales environment, preferably in Mechanical Services, Fabrication, and/or assembly
- Proficient in MS Office.
- CRM experience would be considered an asset.
- High sense of urgency, attention to detail and follow-up.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Regular travel required.
- Ability to strive in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer focus.
- Strategic thinking.
- Exceptional networking skills.
