**The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for Gate Staff.**

**OVERVIEW**

The Toronto Blue Jays Organization is seeking hard-working individuals with a dedication to customer service and a passion for enhancing the fan experience. This role requires a willingness to assist fans in a polite, friendly manner, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 80% of all regular season home games, and 50% of any other events (i.e. concerts) including evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Staff are also expected to attend a pre-game/event meeting 30 minutes prior to gates open.

This is a part-time contract position from January to November with the possibility of extension.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet and assist all fans with a welcoming, friendly attitude
- Assist fans with scanning tickets for verification and ensuring that only valid ticket holders are allowed entry to Rogers Centre
- Direct fans towards their seating area, or any other desired location, such as concessions or Jays Shop
- Receive and act on any fan complaints with a warm attitude and problem-solving approach
- Maintain an understanding of Rogers Centre policies and procedures, and act accordingly
- Oversee crowd flow and line management outside gates
- Address any fan inquiries in a polite and professional manner
- Report any incident (major or minor) on an Incident Report Card and submit report to your supervisor

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent problem solving and judgment skills
- Strong ability to be assertive and influential
- Excellent oral and written communication skills complimented with a friendly and professional manner
- A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
- Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Available to work a minimum 80% of all scheduled regular season home games including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Available to work a minimum of 50% other events
- Basic familiarity with mobile devices and navigating apps
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment while standing/walking indoors/outdoors for 3-4-hour shifts
