We seek a trauma counsellor/student supervisor to join our Sources Trauma Counselling team This individual must be a leader knowledgeable regarding interpersonal violence, sexual assault and historical abuse, and trauma's impacts. Must have intersectional lenses and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational development and leadership skills.

Description of position
**Sources Trauma Counselling has two service streams**: fee for service for those who have benefits and can pay for services and subsidized support for those who live in the geographic catchment area and cannot pay for services. We serve women impacted by interpersonal violence, sexual assault and historic abuse.
**General Responsibilities**:

- Offer EMDR, Somatic Experiencing or other trauma-focused modalities and maintain a caseload for approximately two days per week.
- Provide case management and facilitate referrals to appropriate services.
- Must have five years of post-graduate experience.
- Provide counsellor supervision to two student counsellors each term.
- Embrace cultural diversity, LGBTQ2S and truth and reconciliation for Indigenous people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively.
- Participate in team meetings and Sources Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) processes

**Program Specific Responsibilities**:

- Provide individual counselling (including intake and assessment) to women experiencing interpersonal violence, sexual assault, or historical abuse.
- Incorporate the central components of trauma counselling, emphasizing safety, containment, and trauma processing.
- Provide resources and referrals and related support services.
- Maintain up-to-date files and documentation on Sharevision/OWL/exceed accreditation standards for COA.
- Incorporate Feedback Informed Training and supervision into the therapy practice.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Counselling Psychology.
- Post Graduate Supervision course (5 years post-grad) and eligible for approval by BCACC/CCC as a supervisor.
- Effectively utilize Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharevision and OWL
- Effectively communicate professionally, verbally and in written English
- Registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), College of Social Work
- Training in therapeutic modalities (SE, EMDR, IFS etc.)
- Criminal Records check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Records Review Program
- San’yas Training and Indigenous approaches are an asset
- Qualification for CVAP, ICBC, and FNHA an asset.

**Contract Rate**: $49.00/hour Commensurate with experience
