The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, customer service oriented, professional to join the Front Office team as a **Regular Front Office Host**.

Front Office Hosts are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Host.

Starting wage for this position is $20.55 per hour, after 6 months wage is $23.98 per hour, and after 1 year wage is $27.40 per hour.

**Qualifications**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- Must be available to work various shifts **ESPECIALLY Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and holidays (mornings, afternoons and **graveyard shifts**) **as required by business needs
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess refined and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and be very detail oriented
- Previous experience in Opera property management system is an asset
- Previous Front Desk hotel experience is preferred
- Must have previous cash handling experience
- Knowledge of basic math skills required
- Must have previous customer service experience
- Must have proven experience in making quick and efficient decisions
- Must be able to interact with a diverse group of individuals
- Must have ability to upsell - previous experience is an asset
- Knowledge of a second language is an asset

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing throughout shift
- Constant writing, typing and computing throughout shift
- Frequent walking throughout the shift
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
