Job Description Lead Host(ess) – Il Corvo, North VancouverIl Corvo is a new Italian restaurant in North Vancouver, rooted in handmade pasta, seasonal ingredients, and genuine hospitality. We’re looking for a confident and welcoming Lead Host(ess) to be the face of the restaurant and help set the tone for every guest’s experience.At Il Corvo, the Lead Host(ess) plays an essential role in creating a warm first impression, managing the flow of service, and supporting the front-of-house team. You’ll combine organization, grace, and hospitality to ensure every guest feels truly cared for from the moment they walk in the door.What You’ll DoGreet and seat guests with warmth, efficiency, and genuine hospitalityManage reservations and walk-ins using our booking system, ensuring smooth table flow during serviceCommunicate with the floor team and kitchen to coordinate seating and pacingAnticipate guest needs and handle special requests or issues with professionalism and careTrain and guide the host team, ensuring consistent standards of greeting and guest interactionMaintain an organized, polished front desk and entry areaSupport management with administrative or service-related tasks as neededWhat We’re Looking ForAt least 2 years of host or front desk experience in a restaurant setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory roleA genuine passion for hospitality and interest in Italian cuisine and cultureExcellent communication and organizational skills, with an ability to multitask under pressurePositive, confident demeanor and a professional appearanceComfortable using reservation systems and POS terminalsReliable, punctual, and proactive in problem-solvingEvening and weekend availability requiredCompensation & Benefits$19.50–$21.00/hour (depending on experience) + pooled tipsExtended health, dental, and vision benefits for full-time staffOpportunity for growth within the management and service teamWhy Join Il Corvo?Il Corvo is more than just a restaurant — it’s a neighbourhood gathering place built on great food, thoughtful hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere.
