New Manager, Environmental, Social and Governance

We are looking for a Manager, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Sustainability Programs to join our team

Reporting to the Director, ESG & Sustainability Strategy, the Manager, ESG & Sustainability Programs will lead YEG’s ESG reporting, engagement and disclosure; providing strategic direction and analysis, with a focus on continued demonstration of YEG leadership. You will contribute to sustainability policies and initiatives and develop materials that support engagement with key internal and external ESG stakeholders, including investors, ratings and rankings organizations, and financial institutions.

This role will play a key part in the team, supporting the Director, ESG & Sustainability Strategy in the integration of ESG issues and considerations into the core operations of the organization. The Manager, ESG & Sustainability Programs will consistently achieve results, focusing on the topics that matter and helping the organization by working collaboratively with others.

Development and delivery of ESG & sustainability-related initiatives and programs
- Primary focus will be on the development and delivery of ESG & sustainability-related initiatives and programs, providing best practice recommendations.
- Work alongside key internal and external partners while supporting the delivery of internal ESG & sustainability related programs and projects.
- Provide informed recommendations that drive positive ESG changes and support with implementing ESG ambition across the organization
- Identify and implement ESG and sustainability best practice trends (e.g., net zero, circular economy, social impact, diversity, equity and inclusion etc.)
- Develop and maintain cross-function engagement with senior leaders on ESG ambition implementation
- Provide experienced advice on environmental and social sustainability issues and support business units across the organization
- Work with ESG internal experts and stakeholders on Hydrogen and Low Carbon fuels program, ensuring alignment on approaches
- Provide recommendations on the integration of social sustainability related tools into existing processes and policy documents, and develop metrics to further develop the Group's ESG performance
- Support with project management and content development of social and ethical-related sector positions for the organization (procurement, diversity, equity & inclusion)
- Work alongside internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Risk, People & Culture, and Finance, to assist in the development of plans and tools to incorporate aspects of ESG performance management into their processes
- Continuously supervise ESG best practice, market practices, regulations, standards development, and interpret the implications of the emerging issues for YEG
- Facilitate an inclusive, proactive and collaborative approach to engage others and find new opportunities related to sustainability issues and a achieve results

ESG and extra-financial Reporting
- Support the Director of ESG & Sustainability Strategy in the materiality and ESG ambition work, liaising with consultants as required
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on ESG data reporting, dashboards and other relevant disclosure matters
- Lead ESG reporting and engagement, including strategic planning and analysis of the evolution of reporting methodologies and frameworks including ESG risk framework and indicators
- Analyze and monitor ESG ratings, planning for emerging trends and topics that are of importance to YEG’s internal and external partners
- Participate in internal ESG reporting and disclosure committees and external ESG reporting and industry association committees
- Liaison with environmental stakeholders to capture energy, carbon emissions and other relevant data

ESG Awareness and Engagement
- Engage with key internal and external partners in developing ESG projects, communications and presentations
- Provide detailed responses to ESG rating organizations and support ESG inquiries in collaboration with Stakeholders relations departments
- Identification and execution of ESG-related sponsorships and engagement opportunities
- Adhere to and promote YEG’s corporate values, ESG and Sustainability policies and practices in support of our corporate business objectives

**Special Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as science, sustainability, or environmental management
- Minimum 7 or more years of directly related work experience
- Expertise in sustainability, ESG strategy implementation and ESG reporting including materiality assessments and KPIs scorecard and dashboard
